While both materials are sturdy and up to the job, there are many reasons why the majority of companies in similar industries believe MFC is a much superior product and why we also choose it for our furniture. FABRICS You can order from Incube with a clear conscience, knowing you are choosing a company that takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously: • We use 100% renewable energy. • We use energy efficient adjustable LED factory lights. • Modern machinery maximises board use. • New products are designed with efficiency of machinery and board usage in mind to minimise waste. • Board offcuts have a three stage filtering process, as follows: 1. Large pieces are cut into smaller components. 2. Smaller pieces or those with superficial flaws are turned into seating frame components. 3. Unuseable pieces become fuel for heating the factory. • Our factory heating system runs entirely on factory waste, which would normally go to landfill. • We offer a basic free delivery through a transport hub, meaning transport is shared and the environmental impact of deliveries is reduced. • We encourage a culture of recycling amongst our staff, providing a range of dedicated waste facilities. • We provide chilled water from coolers to discourage staff from drinking bottled water. • Most of our edging is ABS which is biodegradable, minimising the quantity of microplastics that the company produces. • All of the boards we use are FSC accredited. • Foam offcuts are sent to a local manufacturing company to be reused in other products.
